Soil Stabilization
Soil stabilization is a process to mix soil and stabilizer to increase the function and support force on sub base layer of soil for road construction.

|
SOILCOAT-1SS
SOILCOAT-1SS is stabilization agent for polymer soil which has slow setting bonding reaction. It is white color emulsion and turn into clear when dried.
It is a water base product and with certain additive it is stable to store for a long time and water proofing after dried.
The use of SOILCOAT-1SS soil stabilizer will increase support force of the soil, reduce/remove dust and resulting a waterproofed, non-slippery, and environmental friendly ground.

Common Behaviour
Decrease Permeability
Asphalt residue will partially fill in holes from material. On fine soil, the effect is blocking capiler openings in some points. The whole process will decrease permeability. Therefore soil layer will be protected from the damaging effect of water.
Decrease Water Effect
With blocking capiler openings, hydrocarbon adhesive will decrease water flow and resulting overall decrease of water effect to material.
Increase Cohesion
Hydrocarbon adhesive creates bonding points among the material grains. In result, emulsion stabilization provides cohesion force on non-cohesive material and will increase cohesion force on cohesive material.
Increase Mechanical Force
By increasing cohesion force and decreasing water effect, emulsion stabilization will increase shearing, tensile, and compressive strength on dry and wet condition.
